In the town of Injune in western Queensland (Diocese of Toowoomba), the Anglican, Roman Catholic and Uniting Church communities each owned their own church. They had been working together for years, as people often do in the country, and there was a great spirit of cooperation. With declining population however, the communities were finding it difficult to maintain buildings and they decided that their energies would be better directed if they shared a building. In 2008, they came together to formalise their new partnership in the form of a Covenant.
